2004 Season - Week 17
Wayne defends his crown, Daz wins Conference.
Congratulations to Wayne who becomes only the second BUM ever to win the Papas Fritas trophy in back-to-back years (Mark 1999-2000). There were no major changes in the last week of the season and so there are no surprises in the promotion and relegation places. Daz, Johnny and Cheryl will replace Paul, John and Stampy in the Premiership next year.
BUMS Play-Offs
The road to BUMSBowl IX starts here. There are no changes to the rules but to refresh your memory here’s how this knock-out tournament works. It’s a head-to-head contest with the highest scorer in each game going through. You must select one QB, one kicker and any FOUR outfield players to play within a budget of $7.5 million using the same player prices as the regular season. (See attached spreadsheet). You can change all players between each round and in each game no more than 2 players can appear in both teams. Please get your teams back to me by 10am on Saturday so we can sort out any swaps needed. Whoever gets their team to me first gets first pick of players to swap, if necessary, so a speedy reply is of the essence. If scores are tied at the end of the games the tie-breaker is the player that scored latest in any game. As always top scoring owner plays lowest and so on, so here are the Wildcard match ups.
Wayne v Paul Mark v John Daz v Aaron AP v Phil Dave G v David S Gareth v Ron
Marcus v Cheryl Andy H v Johnny
Wildcard Schedule
In the AFC the champs are Pittsburgh (North 15-1) and New England (East 14-2) with bye weeks & Indianapolis (South 12-4) and San Diego (West 12-4) playing in the wildcard games at home to Denver (10-6) and NY Jets (10-6) respectively. In the NFC the champs are Philadelphia (East 13-3) and Atlanta (South 11-5) with bye weeks & Green Bay (North 10-6) and Seattle (West 9-7) hosting Minnesota (8-8) and St Louis (8-8) respectively.
